«Abai Alemi» festival and our victory

On December 10, 2020, at the Department of Philological Specialties for Foreign Citizens in «Abai Alemi» office, a meeting-tea party was held with foreign students who took part in the national online student art festival «Abai Alemi», dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai Kunanbayev: Chen Dawei (2nd year, China), Don Lihui (1st-year undergraduate, China), marked with letters of thanks, and our winners in the «Abai in the languages of the world» nomination Ongtangco Christian and Aleli (Philippines), who took 1st place for the performance of Abai`s song «Zhelsez Tunde Zharyk Ai» and readings of Abai`s poem «Love» in English.

Thanks to the well-coordinated teamwork of the department for educational, social work, and youth policy of Abai KazNPU, the Abai Alemi Festival took place in two stages: the qualifying stage on October 30-31 and the final round on December 4-5. The jury noted the excellent preparation of our students and the rector of the university Balykbaev Takir presented the prize-winners with a certificate for 200,000 KZT in the nomination «Abay - Alem Tilderinde».

Students expressed their sincere gratitude for their help in preparing the musical number to the teachers of the department Begalieva Saule, Mamytbekova Laila, Nurakhunova Guncham, as well as the vice-rector for educational, social work and youth policy Ishpekbaev Zhanatbek and deputy director Bekbenbetova Kazyna.
