Scientists of Abai KazNPU participate in the International Congress

 

On October 27, 2021, the Second International Congress «Language Policy of the Commonwealth of Independent States» began its work in Almaty, which brought together more than 150 teachers, scientists, politicians, journalists, public figures, and experts from Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Tajikistan, Georgia, Ukraine, Belarus, and other countries.


The plenary session continued throughout the day. 14 interesting reports of scientists from 8 countries were heard on the language policy of these states, on the fate of the Russian language in the post-Soviet space.


In the final part of the plenary session, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Manatkul Mussatayeva made a presentation. She spoke about the demand for the Russian language and the profession of a teacher of Russian studies in Kazakhstan, as evidenced by the large contingent of students in the specialty «Russian language and literature» at Abai KazNPU - the forge of teaching staff. The speech was optimistic and well received by the audience of the congress. It was proposed to share the experience of the university and the department in achieving such high results.


On October 28, the head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Professor Saule Abisheva and Professor Damina Shaibakova made reports at the congress. The report by S. Abisheva was devoted to digital technologies in the philological education of schoolchildren and the problems of creating an electronic textbook on Russian literature, of which she is the author. D. Shaibakova`s report considered the issues of the functioning of the Russian language as a pluricentric language.


The meeting of scientists at the congress will contribute to the development of partnerships between scientific, educational and public organizations of the CIS countries. This authoritative scientific forum has also become a platform for the dissemination of innovative technologies and modern teaching methods.
