International forum brings together the world`s great thinkers

On December 8-10, 2020, Abai KazNPU, together with the international organization of Turkic culture Turksoy, held an international forum that brought together large-scale Events that took place on the territory of the great Steppe in different historical periods and touched together in the modern era of globalization: the 1150th anniversary of the birth of the encyclopedist Abu Nasr Ibn Muhammad al-Farabi, the 950th anniversary of the writing of the poem «Kutadgu Bilig» by the great thinker and statesman Zhusup balasaguni, the 175th anniversary of birthday of the great philosopher, educator Abay Kunanbayev. World-class events are widely celebrated internationally under the auspices of UNESCO.

The opening ceremony of the forum was attended by rector Takir Balykbayev, Secretary General of TURKSOY (international organization of Turkic culture) Kurabaevich Duysen Kaseinov. The speakers, prominent scientists:
Abdullah Kızılcık-Istanbul University, Director of the al-Farabi center, PhD, Professor (Turkey); Mekemtas Myrzakhmet - laureate of the State prize of RK, Academician of the NAS of RK, Fagani Mohsen Abbasali-Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty (Iran); Akmataliev Abdyldajan Amanturovoch - Director of the Aitmatov Institute of Language and literature, academician of NAS of RK, D. Phil.N. (Kyrgyzstan) Winner Of the state prize of the Kyrgyz Republic; Ramiz Asker-head of the Department «Literature of the Turkic peoples» of Baku state University (Azerbaijan), etc.

The international forum included discussion sessions and a scientific and practical conference on topical issues of teacher education.

According to the forum program, a competition of readers was held to present the main ideas of al-Farabi-Balasaguni-Abay. According to the results of the competition, the best students were awarded certificates and prize gifts.
