Educational Program of Magistracy on Assessing and Measuring the Quality of Education

On December 3-4, 2018, a training seminar «Conceptual Basis for Implementing an Educational Program of Magistracy on Assessing and Measuring the Quality of Education» was held(Abai KazNPU - Institute of System Projects of Moscow State Pedagogical University (Moscow)). The seminar was organized by the chair of «Pedagogy and Psychology» of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology of KazNPU.

The Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation of KazNPU, Aktolkyn Kulsariyeva opened the seminar. The director of the Institute of System Projects of the Moscow City Pedagogical University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Svetlana Vachkova, Head of Child Development Laboratory, Igor Shiyan, head of Laboratory for the design of the activity content of education, Vladimir Lvovsky.

Kazakhstan colleagues - Khairulla Zhanbekov, Director of the Department of Academic Affairs of the University, Gulnara Balakhmetova, Head of the Educational Process Organization Department, Berikzhan Almuhambetov, Director of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology, Associate Professor Lyaliza Sarsenbayeva, Heads of chairs, professors and teachers, doctoral students and undergraduates warmly welcomed the guests.

The seminar was held in the form of listening to speeches by professors of Moscow City Pedagogical University, interactive discussion, discussion of theoretical, methodological and practical issues of the implementation of a joint educational program. The speeches of Igor Shiyan «Cultural, historical and activity approaches in psychology and education as the conceptual basis of the educational program of the magistracy on the evaluation and measurement of the quality of education», Vladimir Lvovsky «Task (activity) approach in the design, implementation, analysis of the lesson».

Undergraduates of the specialization «Pedagogical Measurements» of the Institute of Pedagogy and Psychology asked questions on modern measuring systems and instruments, actively participated in the discussion and were consulted on the subject of master`s theses. The seminar was held in an atmosphere of cooperation and creativity.

Head of chair of «Pedagogy and Psychology», Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Aigerim Kosherbaeva summed up the seminar, noting its high scientific level, practical orientation and productive nature. In the future, an educational session is scheduled with the arrival of specialists from Moscow City Pedagogical University, intensive training of undergraduates at Moscow State Pedagogical University, online consultations.
