Abai KazNPU hosted the cultural-educational event
«DESIGN IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM»

On December 3, 2025, the Department of Design of the Faculty of Arts at Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University held a cultural and educational event titled «DESIGN IN THE THIRD MILLENNIUM» for graduates of general education schools and technical and vocational institutions in Almaty.

The purpose of the event was to introduce school and college graduates to the «Design» educational program of the Faculty of Arts and to conduct career-orientation activities to help them make an informed choice of their future profession. The event was attended by more than 300 final-year college students.

Participants were presented with an exhibition of diploma projects created by the department`s graduates. The Dean of the Faculty, PhD Karim Baigutov, and the Head of the Department, PhD Zhazira Stambekova, provided detailed information on design specializations, creative entrance examinations, and the application procedures for state educational grants.

Faculty members presented the fields of fashion design, graphic design, architectural design, and print design, conducted master classes, and guided students through the university`s academic buildings, workshops, and museum.

The event enhanced prospective applicants` interest in the field of design and offered an opportunity to showcase the creative and innovative potential of the faculty.
