«Digitalization as a tool for achieving global competition»

In modern society, which represents a new stage of development of civilization, the main wealth and resource are information and knowledge; therefore, now, our society tends to be called the society of knowledge. Today, the human information Fund is doubling every three years, and information is increasing at a very high rate. And the main mechanism of Informatization is digitalization.

In this regard, on April 8, 2020, the teacher of the Institute of History and Law Kantayeva Kuralay Abbasovna held a webinar on the online space «Zoom» by 1st-year students of the specialty 6B05203-Geography on the topic «Digitalization and social interaction». «Who owns information, owns the world» - an aphorism of the famous financier Nathana Rothschilda today reveals the relevance of many issues, such as mass communication in the information society, media culture, security in the open space of information and cybersecurity. In order to review these trends and evaluate materials, the webinar used the platforms «Lecture Raicing» and «Google forms», which provide effective results of distance learning. Participants of the webinar received information about the overall dynamics of the digitalization process, exchanged experience on improving digital literacy and information culture.
