Dialogue of Religions: Synergy for the Future

On September 17–18, 2025, the VIII Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions is taking place in Astana. In his address, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized that the Congress has become an important dialogue platform for discussing global challenges. According to the Head of State, based on the proposals of the participants, the Development Concept of the Congress until 2033 has been adopted and is being implemented.

This large-scale international event is also attended by Dr. Nurlan Orynbekov, PhD, Senior Lecturer at the Department of Political Science and Socio-Philosophical Disciplines, Faculty of History and Law of Abai KazNPU, who was specially invited as an expert.

Bringing together spiritual leaders from 60 countries, representatives of international organizations, and experts, the two-day Forum is expected to be meaningful and fruitful in discussing the role of interreligious dialogue in today’s world.
