International Scientific Conference of Young Scientists in the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

On April 4, 2013 Department of Russian Philology for foreigners of the philological faculty held V International Scientific Conference of  Young Scientists «Kazakhstan in the international educational space», which celebrated its anniversary and has become a kind of tradition.

Such work is aimed at preserving the traditions of Kazakh science and education, and their integration into the international community, professional development of research and teaching personnel, attracting young people to science and education.

In the current President”s Message to the people of the «Strategy Kazakhstan-2050»: a new policy of the established state» N.A. Nazarbaev refers to the qualitative growth of human capital, the implementation of which he sees in education in the first place. The head of state has devoted a separate section to the field of education, where it is mentioned that quality education should be the basis of industrialization and innovative development of Kazakhstan.

Young scientists already in the walls of the educational institutions must have a certain set of professional competencies, among which stands out competence in research.

The International Conference of Young Scientists in the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University is no accident. The science labs, student scientific societies and clubs, and seminars have been working for a long time. All this allows the students to begin full-time academic work, to find like-minded people with whom they can share the results of their research. The system of teacher training today focuses on the intensification of scientific research. Research-oriented students are identified and their gradual introduction to the upcoming design and modeling of the educational process in schools and universities take place. It is no accident that among the participants of the International Conference were lots of young scientists from Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

The following people spoke at the plenary session: V.N. Kosov, Vice President for Research of Abai KazNPU; O.N.Korotkova associate professor of Moscow State University named after Lomonosov; I.V.Pereverzeva, Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan., Ms. Wang Jui, a representative of the Consulate of China in Kazakhstan, N.N. Khan, Ph.D., professor of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, Chan Dinn Lam, Ph.D., professor of Russian philology for foreigners; F.Sh.Orazbaeva doctor of philological sciences, head of the Department of Theory and Methods of Kazakh language of Abai KazNPU; S.B.Begalieva , Ph.D., Professor, head of the Department of Russian Philology for foreigners of Abai KazNPU; I.I.Sapronova , Associate Professor of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the department of language training for foreigners.

The guests were welcomed by international students from China, South Korea, Iran and Turkey and have expressed good wishes for the conference. Students from Korea, Lee Syl Bee and Lee E Ji sang a Korean folk song in an excellent performance.       

There were 3 sections:

Section № 1.Pedagogical science and national education.

Section  № 2. Philological sciences.

Section № 3.Social sciences and humanities.

On the eve of the conference a collection of research papers was released, which published about 200 papers on various subjects from the general problems of education in the Republic of Kazakhstan to the specific issues of professional teacher education, national education and training as well as social and humanitarian activities.   

At the plenary session, V.N. Kosov, doctor of physics and mathematics sciences, Vice President for Research of Abay KazNPU, I.V.Pereverzeva , the deputy head of «Rossotrudnichestvo», Consul of the General Consulate of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan made a speech.

Each report caused a heated discussion and debate of participants, and sometimes a desire on the part of students to supplement the report with their own ideas. Of particular interest to the audience was associated with reports on relevant, contemporary themes, such as how to keep young people away from religious extremist organizations, or what are the causes of crime among young people, what are the objectives of social education in the stable and unstable society.

Section №1. "Pedagogical Sciences and National Education" led by doctor of pedagogical sciences, Professor N.N.Khan,  and Associate Professor Alieva D.A.

       80 reports were submitted. Of great interest were J.M. Bekmurzina”s report «On the question of the ethno pedagogical competence of the modern teacher»; L.V. Ekshembeeva”s «Ecology of Language: Theory and practice of teaching»; R.G. Seydahmetova”s «Person-centered approach in the emerging multi-cultural identity,» etc.

    Reports caused resonance, lively discussion, thus demonstrating the relevance of the problem.

In section № 2, «Philological sciences» (supervisor: Ph.D., Professor Chan Dinh Lam, senior teacher Bakbergenova R.K.) involved 66 speakers. All the reports were substantiated scientific base, covered a wide range of linguistic and literary problems. It should be noted that participation in the student section of the Department of Russian Philology for foreigners, graduates of undergraduate, graduate Chen Jin (China) «Russian speech etiquette in lingual cultural aspect».

Han Yu (China) «Russian proverbs in class with international students», Yuk Ying Yong (Korea) «The specifics of translation of the Korean fairy tales into Russian»; Zhanaeva I.M. (Kazakhstan) «Art and the aesthetic and cognitive aspects in the works of Chingiz Aitmatov».

In the section №3, «Social sciences and humanities» declared 33 reports. Chairpersons were candidate of philological sciences, professor Bruleva F.G., associate professor Balgazina B.S.

Presentations on topical issues of contemporary life such as: Maralbekova S. «Life as a Science for Students»; Makhmutova M. «The influence of religious extremism on the young people`s minds»; Serіkkyzy J. «The social responsibility of  business» were heard. Participants actively discussed issues of inter ethnical consent. Speakers responded to all the questions. Supervisors of sections summarize the performances of young scientists, summed up, did an analysis of speech defects. In the final phase of the conference, all participants were given certificates, presented reviews of teachers and valuable comments on the results of the conference, where about 200 papers were accepted whose authors are not only teachers of high school but also students, undergraduates, and school teachers, college students from different regions of Kazakhstan: Astana, Almaty, Almaty region, Petropavlovsk, Pavlodar, Taraz, Shymkent, Ust-Kamenogorsk, Semey, Kostanay, Kyzylorda, Aktobe, Aktau, Taldykorgan. Young scientists from many institutions of Kazakhstan presented their research papers, including the Eurasian National University named after Gumilev, Kazakh State Women”s Pedagogical Institute, Kazakh Academy of Transport and Communications, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kazakh National Medical University named after Asfendiyarov and others. A total number is 32 high schools.

   In general, the international scientific conference of young scientists was held successfully.
