A meeting of the methodological branch of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of Abai KazNPU was held at the specialized gymnasium №12 named after Sh.Ualikhanov. The branch of the department was opened in 2017 and since then has been conducting diverse fruitful work, which was described in her report by PhD doctor, teacher-master A.S. Nusupbekova.

Russian Language and Literature Department of Abai KazNPU was told by the head of the department, professor S.D. Abisheva, with the pilot program of advanced training courses for school teachers "Modernization of the content of education and methods of teaching Russian language and literature" was introduced by PhD doctor G.A.Kuatova. The landmark event was attended by the director of the Institute of Philology of Abai KazNPU A.V.Tanzharikova, Deputy the director of the specialized gymnasium №12 named after Sh.Ualikhanov B.K.Kumarbekova, teachers of the department and teachers of Russian language and literature of school-gymnasium.
