City competition among young music teachers "Onerli ustaz - 2024"


On April 16, 2024, within the framework of the Decade of Science at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and in order to cooperate between school institutions, a city competition was held among young music teachers in the city of Almaty. The general management of the Competition was carried out by the scientific and methodological center of technologies in education of the Education Department of the city of Almaty in close cooperation with the teaching staff of the Department of Music Education and Choreography of the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.


The purpose of the competition is to improve methodological training and reveal the creative potential of young music teachers.


To achieve this goal, the 1st qualifying round of the city competition was held in eight districts of Almaty. The Competition was attended by young music teachers with pedagogical experience of no more than 5 years (according to the Regulation of the Competition) in a total of more than 80 people. According to the results of which the protocols of the qualifying round were submitted to the Scientific and Methodological Center for New Technologies of the Department of Education.


The winners of the first qualifying round (1st place) were sent to the 2nd round - the city, which took place in the assembly hall of the University of Abai. The contestants had to submit a solo vocal or instrumental performance of two different musical works from the school repertoire of their choice under the Competition program and present the defense of the music lesson using modern educational and digital technologies.


The jury members included faculty of the Department of Music Education and Choreography and representatives of other organizations. In particular, the head of the department, PhD of philosophy Zhanbolat Kosherbaev was appointed chairman of the competition. The jury of the Competition was attended by candidates of pedagogical sciences acting Professors Kamarsulu Ibraeva, Laura Kakimova, Svetlana Balagazova, methodologist of the Center for New Technologies of the Education Department Svetlana Shapkina and a music teacher at school-gymnasium No. 176, a teacher-researcher, president of the Association of Music Teachers in Almaty, co-author of the textbook "Music" for grade 3, co-author of the methodological manual on the subject "Music" for grade 4 - Zheniskul Makhanbetova.


The system for evaluating the participants of the competition was carried out according to a 100-point rating system, where the final rating was determined by the sum of the points set by all members of the jury of the Competition.


According to the results of the Competition, the winners were:
The Grand Prix was won by the music teacher of the gymnasium school No. 206 of the Nauryzbay region Magzhan Tleubekov.
1st place was awarded to the music teacher of the school-gymnasium No. 162 of the Turksib region Adilzhan Alimzhan.
2nd place of the Competition was taken by music teachers of secondary school No. 97 of Auezov district Zhandos Askarov and music teacher of secondary school No. 65 of Bostandyk district Talshyn Koshtay.

3rd third place was awarded to music teachers of secondary school No. 58 Ulpan Batyrbekova, secondary school No. 177 Asemay Tynybekova, secondary school No. 19 Nurzhigit Amanbekov.


The grand opening of the Competition, like the competition itself, was held in an atmosphere of creative expression and support for young contestants. In between the voting of the jury, students of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th years of the educational program "6B01402-Music Education" showed a concert to the participants of the competition, demonstrating their creative and performing skills. The program of the student choir of senior courses and the ensemble "A-Blues Band" (leader: Master of Science, teacher of the department Nurzhan Kasymov) featured works by domestic and foreign composers: song "Moldabay" edited for the choir of Galymzhan Berekeshev, «The Lion Sleeps Tonight PMQ» and «Mamaliye Sing Africa, sing» Music: Zulu-Traditional Arrangement and additional music: Marcus Detterbeck. And also performed by the ensemble "A-Blues Band" sounded the works "Dua Lipa levitating featuring dababy," "Syyem men" Ermek Serkebaev and "Kaydasyn?" From the repertoire of "Dos-Mukasan".


To popularize, stimulate and introduce students to performing, creative activities in solo and ensemble performance of students, kyu of folk composers and works of contemporary Kazakhstani authors were sounded. Such works as, kui on the dombra of N.Tlendiev "Akku" performed by a 3rd year student Mustafa Kurman; song Kazybek Kurayysh "Kurkemim" performed by Sanzhar Alimzhan, a 3rd year student. In the performance of a trio of 2nd year students Damir Sarman, Abish Tynyshbai, Akzhol Muslim, S. Mukhamedzhanov`s song was sung to the words of A. Sadykbek "Karmanғa kel"; "Siykimdi" by composer Shynbergen Suleimenov was performed by Erasyl Muslim, a 2nd year student and other works.


The city competition "Onerli Ustaz-2024" among young music teachers was held beautifully and solemnly, leaving indelible impressions in memory.
