Application for the selection of a candidate for a vacant position

 

Vacant position:

Head of the Office for the commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific and technical activities

The main functional responsibilities of the structural unit:

- Promoting the practical application of the commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific and technical activities (RSSTA) by increasing the efficiency of scientific and innovative activities of Abai KazNPU;

- Organization of events to improve the business competencies of students, undergraduates and doctoral students, university scientists;

- Creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem, opening and supporting the activities of a coworking center, business incubator, business accelerator;

- Introduction of elements of the entrepreneurial university strategy;

- Development and implementation of the RSSTA commercialization strategy;

- Search and evaluation of technologies for the commercialization of RSSTA research and educational departments of Abai KazNPU;

- Provision of consulting services in the field of marketing research on specific objects of RSSTA;

- Implementation of commercial projects;

- Attracting business representatives in order to conclude agreements in the field of technology commercialization, attracting investments.

Main job responsibilities:

- Development of measures to stimulate the commercial orientation of scientific research departments of the university;

- Organization and holding of competitions for commercial projects and start-up companies for the commercialization of business ideas and RSSTA;

- Selection and analysis of the prospects for the commercialization of RSSTA university departments, students, undergraduates and doctoral students of major departments;

- Provision of consulting services in the field of marketing research;

- Provision of consulting services in the field of organizing start-up companies;

- Provision of consulting services for applying for grant funding for the commercialization of scientific projects;

- Ensuring interaction with state and local authorities to support entrepreneurship;

- Ensuring interaction with private business entities.

Education:

Higher socio-humanitarian, legal, economic, technical education. Academic degree not lower than Master`s

Required professional experience (duration, scope, other)

At least three years of work experience in the field of commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific and technical activities or in the start-up ecosystem

Professional competencies:

Ability to manage projects, understand business processes, business modeling, marketing research, analysis of economic market conditions.

Personal competencies and qualities:

Multitasking and result oriented. Communication, teamwork, creativity.

Knowledge of languages, including the state language (list of languages that the candidate must speak)

Kazakh - fluent

Russian - fluent

English - preferably not lower than Intermediate level, knowledge of business English.

Computer skills:

Experienced PC user (MS Office, MS Teams, Google Meet, etc.). Basic knowledge of programming and/or graphics software is a plus.
