According to the article by the Head of State about Abai, the problems of introducing Latin script were discussed

On Feburary 07, 2020, a round table was held in the scientific and practical center «Latyn» at Abai Kazakh national pedagogical University in order to exchange views according to the article bythe Head of State «Abay and Kazakhstan in the XXI century», published in the newspaper «Egemen Kazakhstan» (09.01.2020). The round table was attended by Professor Zhanat Dauletbekova and Orynai Zhubaeva, Deputy Dean of the educational part of the Institute of Philology and multilingual education Erlan Kasenov, associate Professor of the Kazakh language and literature Department. S. Kirabayeva, doctor of philology Nazira Amirzhanova, Professor Kalamkas Kalybayeva, members of the Department, doctoral students and undergraduates. The participants of the round table exchanged views on the article of the President of Kazakhstan K. Tokayev dedicated to the 175th anniversary of Abai. Thoughts were aroused within the framework of topics from the article, such as «Example of national identity», «like-Minded state Affairs», «Compassion of the new society», «Personality of world culture». Director of the scientific and practical center «Latyn», Professor Fauziya Orazbayeva spoke on the topic «Latin writing in the implementation of state interests». Following the results of the round table, the following decisions were made:
1. The curators of each group of the Institute should exchange views with students related to the writing and discussion of the Presidentёs article.
2. To exchange views on the theme «the World of Abai and written culture of the XXI century» and «Gulim tappai maktanba» according to an article by K. Tokayev with the participation of undergraduates, doctoral students and members of the circle «Soztanym».
