A poetic evening «The constellation of great names: Abai-Pushkin-Byron»

On March 1, 2020, the first day of spring, celebrated in Kazakhstan as a day of gratitude, the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University and the Academy of Border Service of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a joint poetic evening «The constellation of great names: Abai-Pushkin-Byron».

Two teams met on the Academy stage - students of KazNPU and cadets - future border guards. The competition consisted of several rounds: a quiz on the biography and creativity of three outstanding personalities. The quiz questions were heard in three languages, and both students and cadets managed to demonstrate a high level of trilingualism.

In the second round - poetry reading and musical performance - the poems of Abai Kunanbaev, A.S. Pushkin, J. Byron. In the third guests were presented songs to poems of great poets.

According to the results of the competition, the team of Abai KazNPU won. But this evening did not end. Cadets of the Academy of PS of the National Security Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, who applauded the entire hall, presented scenes from the KVN. At the end of the evening, representatives of the faculty of two universities spoke. Yerlan Kassenov, deputy director for educational work at the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, noted the importance of such events that connect youth and the great heritage of world culture, and thanked the organizers of the event and, first of all, Major Olga Zaginaiko for the warm, friendly atmosphere in which the poetic evening was held.
