Scientific conference of students - the first step into big science

On 7th December of 2020 year the students of the specialties of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education took part in the work of 75th scientific conference of students, undergraduates and doctoral students of KazNPU named after Abai.

In the sections of linguistics and literary studies 46 reports were presented in which young researchers showed their enthusiasm for a scientific topic and their ability to creatively approach the study of topical problems of modern philological science.

A significant part of the reports were devoted to the teaching of the Russian language and literature at school. 3rd and 4th year students who are now mastering the dual education program (study in parallel with work at school in the framework of pedagogical practice) shared the results of their teaching experience.

The report of the 3rd year student Erali Maulengali (scientific advisor - professor Gulmira Kazhigalieva) was also devoted to the issues of teaching methods, which was presented at the plenary session of the conference.

At the plenary session and at the sessions of the sections, the conference participants saw a video greeting from foreign professors collaborating with the Department of Russian Language and Literature - Alexander Danilevsky (Tallinn University, Estonia) and Evgeny Kazartsev (Higher School of Economics, Moscow, Russia).

The conference was held in an atmosphere of active interest in the topics sounded, which was evidenced by numerous questions and a friendly discussion of the reports. In each section, the winners of the competition of reports were determined, who will represent the department at the Republican competition of scientific student works.

The head of the department Saule Abisheva greeted all the participants of the conference, and in her closing speech she wished them a bright path - in their profession, in science and in life.
