Evening «The story of a song»

On February 8, 2021 the Institute of Philology and multilingual education hosted an offline meeting of activists of students of the specialty "Philology" with the famous singer, cultural figure of Kazakhstan Duysenbek Umraliev on "The Story of one song". The event, held at the youth centre "Smart", was conducted by deputy director on educational work of the institute Yerlan Kasenov.

The guest of the evening was the winner of the republican competition «Jiger» in 1985, the winner of the 12th World festival in Moscow, the winner of the World ethno-folklore festival in South Korea, the winner of the 2nd Republican Amre Kashaubaev competition in 1988. The students were very enthusiastic to listen to D.T. Umraliev and received comprehensive answers to their questions.

The famous singer performed Isa Baizakov`s song «Zheldirme», Bitam Myrzakhmetuly`s terme «On Tilek», Boltirik Sheshen`s «Omir Terme», Akan Seri`s «Balkadisha», Zhambyl Zhabayev`s «Kulyashka», Zhayau Musa`s «Aksisa». After each song, the students expressed their delight with long applause.
