Formation of anti-corruption position among students

In accordance with the work plan for anti-corruption actions of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education at the Department of Russian Language and Literature, on 11th February of 2021 the senior lecturer of the department Zakira Kokenova together with the adviser of the 3rd year group, Associate Professor Gulnur Baishukurova, conducted an online conversation with students on the topic «Formation of anti-corruption position among students of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan».

From the speech of Zakira Kokenova, students learned about the goals and objectives of the anti-corruption strategy of the Republic of Kazakhstan for 2015-2025, got acquainted with the anti-corruption standard. During the conversation, they discussed such concepts as anti-corruption behavior, moral norms and principles, deformation of standards, disorientation of the individual, anti-corruption education.

The third-year students Zarina Kurbanbayeva, Zhannat Dauenova and Lidiya Serikova, who took part in the conversation, noted that each person independently chooses value orientations, their life position. Anti-corruption behavior is also a deliberate choice of an individual. The speakers expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the university, institute and all the teachers of the department of Russian language and literature, who do not allow any corruption offenses.

The group`s advisor Gulnur Baishukurova in her speech focused on responsibility for her own choices and activities. Each person is required to have such moral and ethical qualities as civic courage, courage, honesty, decency.

The head of the department Saule Abisheva, welcoming the audience, thanked the students for their active participation in the discussion of the current topic. She noted that the teachers of the department are guided in their activities by the pedagogical mission, ethical principles and traditions of the university, as well as the teacher`s code of honor and the student`s code of honor.
