Freshmen meet with their teachers

On September 6, 2021, classes with 1st year students began at the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education. The meeting was attended by over 100 students.

The department prepared a program of the meeting, which began with a speech by the head of the department, Saule Abisheva, who greeted the freshmen and expressed her good wishes to them.

Moderator of the conference, PhD Doctor Dina Sabirova spoke in detail about the academic policy of the university: about the academic calendar, about the concept of credit, about midterm control and session, about academic mobility (the possibility of obtaining a European diploma) and other important topics. Students got acquainted with the academic policy of the department, with the functions of an adviser and mentor.

Since all the students of the department`s specialties are divided into groups, they are familiar with their advisors, they meet with them online and in the university classrooms, there were not many questions at the meeting. Students received comprehensive answers to all questions from Professor Saule Abisheva and Associate Professor Dina Sabirova.

During the first week of classes, freshmen will meet with leading professors of the Department of Russian Language and Literature and will be able to get an idea of the tasks of their studies in the undergraduate program.
