Online tour and educational event «Uly Ustaz» dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the birth of A. Baitursynov

According to the plan of educational work of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education and the Department of Russian Language and Literature, on December 13, 2021, the advisers of groups 104 and 102, Zakira Kokenova and Bibizhan Abuova, conducted an online excursion to the Akhmet Baitursynov Museum. It was organized by the director of this cultural institution, associate professor at al-Farabi KazNU Raikhan Imakhanbet, who spoke about the history of the opening of the museum, about the thematic decoration of several rooms associated with the life of a public figure, a prominent linguist, reformer of the Kazakh language, translator. Also, an educational event «Uly Ustaz» dedicated to his 150th anniversary took place.

The students of the group prepared a literary and musical composition about the bright life path and work of Akhmet Baitursynov with reading works in Kazakh and Russian, with demonstration of fragments from documentary films about this historical personality, frames from a feature film, which is still being filmed.

The developers of the event scenario thought out how best to reveal and show the personality of A. Baitursynov not only as a prominent scientist and public figure, but also his inner feelings and feelings for his mother and wife. Students learned about him as a composer-improviser, performer and author of many songs that have come down to us as folk songs.

All 1st year students were invited to the event, Deputy Director for Educational Work Yerlan Kasenov, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature Saule Abisheva, advisors, who in their speeches thanked the organizers of the meeting and wished the freshmen success in their studies.
