Creativity of Chingiz Aitmatov is interesting for young readers

On February 5, 2022, with the support of BBC News Kyrgyzstan Radio and the Almatykitap Publishing House, a meeting «Chingiz Aitmatov and Humanity» was held. Aitmatov wrote about national identity, about love, about universal values. The topics raised by this great writer are still relevant today. The work of Chingiz Torekulovich was especially fond in Kazakhstan.

The honorary mission to open this meeting was given to the Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of Abai KazNPU Karlygash Sapargalievna Buzaubagarova, who spoke about the writing skills of Chingiz Aitmatov.

Special guests were invited to the meeting - actors of the theater «Zhas Sakhna». Young actors Sagynysh Akasova, Askhat Amantai and Arnur Kusaingazin, who played the main roles in the play «Zhamila» («Jamilya») based on the story of the same name by Chingiz Aitmatov, introduced their characters to the audience and illustrated their story with episodes from the play.

During the meeting, a conversation took place about the writer`s work through the prism of studying his works by Kazakh schoolchildren. The discussion was attended by undergraduates of Abai KazNPU majoring in «Russian Language and Literature» and schoolchildren of gymnasium №159 named after I. Altynsarin.
