Talapker-2022: online conference with school directors

On 18 February, 2022, within the framework of the the career guidance project «Profession is the way to the future», senior teachers of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education Zh.M. Yelemesova and E.Zh. Kanseitova held an online conference on the ZOOM platform, in which the director of the Kabylsai school, village Arys, Turkestan region, Sh.S.Zhuzzhanov, and the director of the Ushterek secondary school, Karasai district, Almaty region, R.A.Zhuryn took part. Pupils of the 11th grade of these schools were provided with general information about Abai KazNPU and detailed information about the specialties of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation.

This event was also attended by the director of the Center for Career Guidance and Admission of Students of Abai KazNPU N. Auesbekovich, Head of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation K.Kh. Abdrakhmanova, speaker A.M. Sebdayyrova and senior lecturers G.K.Satbai, A.N.Raeva, Zh.U.Sultanbayeva, A.M. Almabekova.

The pupils were particularly interested in Abai University`s position on the global market and its international relations with many foreign universities. The students asked questions about their future professions and received concrete answers. In addition, the teachers - participants of the career guidance forum - answered in detail such questions as translation activities, Eastern and European foreign languages, general social benefits and opportunities to win a grant for the UNT, receiving a place in the dormitory. The heads of schools from the above-mentioned regions of Kazakhstan noted that many graduates wish to study at Abai KazNPU. It was felt that the information received would be useful for other general education institutions in the country.
