Educational hour «Noble heritage of Abai»

On 22 April, 2022, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology Arailym Raeva held an open educational hour «Abaidin asyl muralary» with 2nd and 3rd year students of the specialty «Teacher of Oriental Language with Knowledge of English» of the Chinese Language Department, «Foreign language: two foreign languages».

The purpose of the event is to learn about life and work of the great Kazakh poet and thinker Abai Kunanbaiuly, promote his work and increase the interest of young people in the heritage of Abai.

During the educational hour, students made presentations, talked about their environment, creativity, expressively read poetry. Abai`s words of edification, translated into many languages of the world, were heard in two languages - Chinese and Kazakh, and translations of the great poet from Russian were also presented. In conclusion, students made a presentation about Abai, sang songs «Kozimnin karasy» and «Zhelsiz tunde zharyk ai», presented general overview of the epic novel «The Way of Abay» by M. Auezov.

The event was attended by senior teachers A.M.Almabekova and E.J.Kayseitova, teacher M.Symbat, they thanked the students for active participation and great interest in the works of great Abay.
