Decade of Science: a series of lectures by a Russian researcher for translation students

From March 29 to April 11 Armine Eduardovna Grigoryan, senior lecturer at the Department of Foreign Languages No. 2, teacher-researcher at the Higher School of Social Sciences and Humanities of the Russian Economic University. G.V. Plekhanov delivered a series of online lectures on the topic of teamwork models in English for students of the department of Oriental Philology and Translation of the Institute of Philology of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University.

In the framework of the lecture "Different types of teams and their functions in the company", students were introduced the key differences and characteristics of a team and a group; a classification of teams and their categorization according to the four main characteristics: purpose, duration, membership and structure. The methods for organizing and coordinating the activities of employees have also been described.

The lecture "Steps for building a successful team" covered the main stages of forming a successful team.

During the lecture "Styles of leadership and their impact on the company," the main differences between management styles, their advantages and disadvantages have been discussed. The importance of the right choice of management models for the company successful functioning has been highlighted.

The lectures sparked students` interest greatly and they were actively involved in after lecture discussion.
