In the institute of Philology and Multilingual education was held «The National dictation»

In accordance with Decree of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated February 19, 2018 No. 637 and approved by the Decree of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated March 13, 2018, the Action Plan for the gradual transition of the Kazakh language to the Latin alphabet until 2025, according to the national flow at the Institute of Philology and Multilingual education, on 14 November at 11.00 a national dictation was held, in whichparticipated students and teachers of the Institute.

The total number of teachers, students and staff of the Institute was 548 people. While writing a dictation based on the Latin script, students showed activity and interest. The results of the analysis of the Commission for the investigation of the dictation showed satisfactory results, as indicated below:

While writing the dictation, it turned out that the students who took part in it made many mistakes in distinguishing the sounds «Ы» and «У», as well as «І» and «И». It was demonstrated that national dictation is an effective measure for the gradual transformation of the Kazakh language into Latin script.
