Literary evening uniting generations

2019 is rich in anniversary dates. As part of the celebration of the 175th anniversary of the birth of Abai Kunanbayev, the Days of Culture of Kazakhstan in Russia (September 7-11, 2019), the Year of the Book in the CIS countries, on September 21, a specialized evening «Everything passes through the heart of the poet» was held at the Specialized Lyceum No. 165 in Almaty. It was dedicated to the life and work of Mukagali Makatayev.

The director of the lyceum Kuralay Oshanova, noting the importance of the book in human life, introduced high school students as a guest of the evening. Doctor of Philology, Professor, Head of the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University Saule Abisheva told the lyceum students about the poetry of the outstanding Kazakh poet of the twentieth century, which is a single piercing lyrical diary. The subject of discussion of the scientist and schoolchildren was the book by S. Abisheva «The Poetic World of M. Makatayev», published in Russian, Kazakh and English.

The guest of honor of the literary evening, Consul of the Consulate General of the Russian Federation in Almaty, the head of Rossotrudnichestvo in the Republic of Kazakhstan, Irina Pereverzeva, noted that literature and culture unite society and build a base of ethical and aesthetic values.

A vivid testimony to the fact that literature helps to comprehend the universal laws of being is literary evening. Lyceum students, teachers, scientists, diplomats were united by a love of poetry.
