Polish researcher of A.P. Chekhov`s creation visited the department

On September 19, 2019, at the Department of Russian Language and Literature of the Institute of Philology and Multilingual Education, a lecture was given by Yaroslav Vezhbinsky, doctor of philological sciences, professor of the University of Lodz.

The lecture touched upon the problems of analysis of small genres in the work of A.P. Chekhov. The researcher considers dichotomies in miniatures of a famous Russian writer, moments of manifestation of intertextuality, author`s methods of creating a comic in the context of semantics and antonyms.

Students, undergraduates, doctoral students and teachers of the department with great interest listened to the lecture of the Polish professor and appreciated his lecturer skill and erudition.
