The closing ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the work of Sokpakbayev

On November 26, 2024, the closing ceremony of the exhibition dedicated to the work of Kazakh children`s writer, author of many works about children, poet Berdibek Sokpakbayev was held at the Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University. The event was attended by teachers and students of Abai University, guests of the city. During the meeting, the importance of the exhibition and the contribution to the culture of the country were discussed.

At the solemn event, Berdibek Sokpakbayev`s daughter Samal Sokpakbayeva spoke about her father, told about his place in Kazakh literature and the importance of his works in the education of generations, thanked the organizers and participants of the exhibition.

During the meeting, the rector of Abai University, Bolat Tlep, noted the importance of studying and promoting the work of Berdibek Sokpakbayev. He also noted that the works of an outstanding personality are an invaluable heritage promoting the culture of the Kazakh people. "The heroes of Berdibek Sokpakbayev are those who instilled the values of justice, morality and patriotism. A special place in the education of the younger generation is occupied by works in the field of children`s literature," said the rector.

During the event, the dean of the Faculty of Arts Karim Baykutov awarded the students who won prizes and highly appreciated their creative achievements and merits.
