Republican scientific seminar "new pages of the military history of West Kazakhstan"

On December 6, 2024, the Faculty of History and Law at KazNPU named after Abai hosted a Republican Scientific Seminar on the topic "New Pages of Military History of Western Kazakhstan." Renowned historians of the Republic participated and presented insightful reports at the seminar, including Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, G.K. Kenzhebayev, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professors A.S. Sarsenov, L. Berdigozhin from Atyrau University, and Associate Professor S. Kuanysh. Professors and lecturers from our university also actively participated in the seminar.

The discussions featured contributions from Professors G.Kh. Khalidullin, Kh.A. Suteeva, B.S. Zhumagulov, and Associate Professors E.N. Ermykanov, E.T. Kaliyeva, Z. Nurmanbetkyzy, among others. The scholars engaged in a detailed discussion of issues and aspects related to studying the military history of Western Kazakhstan from the 18th to the 20th century and into the present day. They also highlighted important issues and aspects for future research on this topic. Participants expressed great interest in the significance of a pioneering scientific project being implemented for the regions of Kazakhstan.

The seminar featured the presentation of a three-volume academic work titled "The History of Atyrau Region: From Ancient Times to the Present Day", published in Russian, Kazakh, and English, prepared by the project authors.

Young scholars, doctoral students, and master`s students from the faculty also actively participated in the seminar`s proceedings.
