Today, the Institute of History and Law has competent human resources, with their help, scientific and methodological assistance is provided to students, undergraduates, doctoral students of the institute.
Currently, 128 teachers work at the institute, including 2 academicians of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan (NAS) - Mambet Kulzhabayuly Koigeldiyev, Khankeldi Mahmutuly Abzhanov and 3 - corresponding members of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan. - Abzhanov Raushanbek Boranbaevich, Kulsarieva Aktolkyn Turlykhanovna, Kenzhebaev Gabit Kapezovich. There are 33 Doctors of Science, 34 Candidates of Science and 12 PhDs, 44 Masters and Senior Lecturers. Scientific potential 65%, average age 46 years. Among them are 5 graduates of the Bolashak 2022 international program.
Teachers of the Institute of History and Law are actively involved in scientific research, the results of which are constantly published in publications recommended by the educational control committee, such as Web of Science, Scopus, which are included in the indexing system.
The results of the scientific and scientific-methodical activities of the teachers of the department are contained in monographs, textbooks and teaching aids, methodological developments.
In 2022, 313 articles were published based on the results of scientific research by the Institute of Science and Technology. Among them: articles in Scopus journals - 31, articles in journals of far and near abroad - 63, articles in journals of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 74, articles in conferences and other journals of the Republic of Kazakhstan - 145. Monographs - 13, teaching aids - 14, speeches on radio and television and articles in newspapers - 36. Safety documents for RNTD: copyright certificates - 11.
Since 2018, the Council for the defense of dissertations for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in the direction "6D011400 - History" has been operating. The chairman of the council is the academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, doctor of historical sciences, professor M. Koigeldiyev.
Every year a scientific and practical conference is organized for students and undergraduates based on the results of research work. The materials of the scientific-practical conference are published in the form of a special collection. According to its results, the best works are submitted to the republican competitions. Students and undergraduates annually take part in republican olympiads, competitions and win prizes. At the same time, students and undergraduates participate in the scientific and social work of the institute and take an active part in city-level events. Winners of the republican KVN games, winners of international sports competitions in wrestling, cycling and other masters of sports. In accordance with the strategic plan for the development of the Institute for 2022-2025, the 3rd International Scientific and Practical Conference and the 2nd Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on various topics are regularly held.
