The scientific webinar for young researchers in the humanities


On November 28, 2025, a webinar was held on the topic “How Can a Young Scholar Avoid Mistakes When Applying for a Grant from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan? (For Early-Career Researchers in the Humanities)”. The presentation was delivered by Tenlik Dalayeva, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor-Researcher at the Department of Modern and Contemporary History of Kazakhstan named after Academician T.S. Sadykov, Faculty of History and Law. The purpose of the scientific webinar was to provide early-career researchers in the humanities with practical skills for preparing high-quality applications for grant funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan, with an emphasis on selecting the appropriate grant call and properly substantiating the expected outcomes. Special attention was given to the methodology for determining Technology Readiness Levels (TRLs) in the humanities and social sciences. Recommendations were formulated on how to correctly define TRLs for grant competitions for young researchers in Kazakhstan. Young researchers of Abai KazNPU showed great interest and were actively engaged during the webinar.
