On November 28, 2025, the Faculty of History and Law of Abai Kazakh National Pedagogical University, with the support of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Smağul Sädwakasov: Time and Legacy,” dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Smağul Sädwakasov — one of the leading figures of the early 20th-century Kazakh intelligentsia, a prominent statesman and public figure. At the conference, second-year doctoral students of the Faculty of History and Law of Abai University delivered research presentations: Nuryllauuly Shyngyskhan presented a paper titled “A Methodological Model of Project-Based Learning in History (Using the Topic ‘The Great Terror’ as an Example)”; Duysenbaykyzy Aitolkyn presented a study titled “The Formation of Higher Pedagogical Education in Kazakhstan in the 20th Century: Current Issues in Training History Teachers in the 20th–21st Centuries.” Both presentations were delivered within the section “Current Issues in Contemporary Research and Teaching in Social Sciences.” The conference gathered historians and researchers from Kazakhstan and from abroad, who presented valuable reports on various aspects of the country’s history.
