Main / Science / Scientific and Innovation Park «Abai LABS» / Nemat Kelimbetov Center of Turkology

The Center was established by Decree No. 1054 of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated October 4, 2013. It operates as a separate structure on the right of economic management of the «Abai KazNPU» NJCS due to the number of full-time researchers.

The purpose of the Center is to contribute to the development of Turkology by working on fundamental scientific works, organizing international conferences, publishing books and scientific articles; conduct joint projects with scientists from Turkic countries and strengthening scientific cooperation.

Tasks and functions of the Center:

- organization of international conferences, scientific seminars, meetings with turkologists;

- publication of books and monographs concerning Turkology;

- translation of scientific works published in Turkic languages;

- invitation of scientists from the Turkic world to give lectures to university students;

- cooperation and joint work with Turkological research institutes of the world, joint projects, events.
