The publication of the books was due to the need to generalize the theoretical, methodological and applied aspects of the use of audio-visual sources (drawings, photos, films, television and radio broadcasts, videos, etc.) in historical research, as well as the demand for educational literature on visual anthropology based on materials from Kazakhstan for different levels of higher and postgraduate education.

An important step towards the effective implementation of the project results was the creation of a virtual laboratory of visual anthropology at Abai KazNPU (https://www.kaznpu.kz/kz/2851/page/, https://virtualanthropologylab.kz/kz), creating a YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCcm_oVaRYFlD_QHRI7ShbrQ) to present the results of scientific research on the study of visual sources on the history of Kazakhstan. Work on the development of digital tools of the virtual laboratory will continue.
