Meeting of Professor Nabizhan Muhamedkhanuly with future historians

On 24 September, 2018, the national-ethnographic association «Adyrna» of the Institute of History and Law organized a meeting with the historian and Sinologist, doctor of historical sciences, professor Nabizhan Muhamedkhanuly. Students of the Institute of History and Law took part in this meeting, which was held within the framework of the project «Tarikhtan Taguylym».

The scientist told the students about the Holodomor in the Kazakh steppe in 1931 - 1933 and its consequences. According to N. Mukhamedkhanuly, in those years about 100 thousand Kazakhs were forced to move to China. But, in these tragic years on the Kazakh land, there were more people killed from hunger than those who had gone abroad.

In the final part of the meeting the students asked questions to the scientist and received exhaustive answers to them.
